insanely is more general help and stuff, hackintosh is more for advanced osx86'ers and developers (but members will still help out usually) , a lot of people moved to hackintosh when insanely 'sold out' and started to censor people and edit posts to completly change their context (see Semthex's Blog
http://semthex.com ).
They lost a lot of staff and respect, BUT it does seem to have sorted itself out a bit now.
I'd still recommend it as a starting point
There are tutorials on insanely for moving a VMWARE installation to a native hard-drive so look there.
