It's a public beta, there's no harm in using it.  He was just quering whether the "Evaluation Copy" text on the desktop was normal behaviour.

If people never used public betas then most programmes would be horribly buggy on release as a tester base of millions just using software normally can do far more than a testing base of a few programmers under abornormal conditions.

And i very much doubt that what is essentially just a pack of fixes can screw up your installation
