Yeah, and they also look like they're from 1930. And I prefer customization, and choose what I want, I believe the thinkpad doesn't do that.
And the t9300, does seem to have slightly better
On the other hand - unless you're actually made of money - when you actually have the laptop you'll soon realise that the sheer prices weren't actually worth it.
I have a £500 laptop from 4 years ago which I still use - the higher spec ones at the time would not be all that much faster these days.
In the hard-disk area, the truly best idea is to go for a small HD - like 120GB or so, that way you can then just pick up a WD Passport 320GB for like £80...
And in CPU intensive stuff you should actually see a large increase in performance with a bigger cache (double the cache is pretty sweet), so if you are going for the best of the best then buy the T9300.
