RE: iTunes/iPod Problem
IIRC It's a windows service, just check to see if it is installed in Add/Remove Programs. If it is, then try to manually get it to run by going typing 'services.msc' into the 'run' dialog.
If any part of this doesn't make sense, don't hesitate to ask for clarification .
