Currently (i.e. before you change the code like Baggins suggested) WLM 2009 users won't see what you're listening to in their contact lists, just like you can't in your own list. However they will be able to see it in your conversation window, with colors etc. too. After you change the code, contact list will show the song too, but without formatting.
