Aside from the usual Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel is there a more aggressive method of completely wiping out all traces of WLM in a WinXP Pro SP3 PC? What folders/files and/or registry entries must be deleted? The idea is to be able to do a clean reinstallation of WLM as if the hard drive would've been formatted. Thanks. (upgrading from WLM 8.5 to WLM 2009)
I posted this question here:

And I was referred to Cookies' steps outlined here:
http://shoutbox.menthix.net/showthread.php?tid=68...d=752237#pid752237
I want to make sure that those instructions won't create any trouble. One user reported that after following those steps he was unable to reinstall or log on to WLM again.
Also, my idea is to be able to view the message history for each contact when clicking in the chat window the blue link titled "View your entire conversation history with this contact" . Aside from backing up the "My Chat Logs" folder in My Documents, what other file/folder/registry entry do I have to backup to later restore this functionality in the newly installed WLM?
Thanks
