The additional features in Home Ultimate over Home Premium are marginal. I doubt you would ever notice a difference if you had the two to work with. I'm not claiming to know what you do with your PC, I'm emphasising how minor the differences are.
Edit: Like I said in the other thread albeit in slightly differing context: people are confusing wants for needs.
You pretty much said it yourself, why pay an extra $250 for something you will never even notice exists in the operating system.
