Let me just say this. People have their choices. Most AVs are good. I personally use ESET NOD32 and have had no issues with it. There was a long period of time when I used no antivirus at all and had absolutely no issues (if you know how to take care of your system, you should be fine).
Antiviruses, OS' and browsers are things which always cause e-wars because everyone has their own choices. Asking random people what their choices are isn't indicative of much unless you know the people answering in which case you can perform weighted analysis.
At the end of the day, its your choice. A choice that you have to make considering the resources you have at hand
