Interesting, the system for the communication, the "indigo" was developed at first for the Windows XP but not used at all. I don't know why but i'm so exited to see the result of the new design and if the avalon system is stable. wait and see !

Longohorn, if it stays at what is planned, is supposed to be amazing. its been said to be like the move from Win3.1 to Win95.

if it stays on track, it'll be good. but the rumored system reqs are gonna be huge. but who knows where computers will be in 2-3 yrs. chips are set to take off, as are most other things.

I've heard that the release of longhorn will now be delayed. Also, i think its system requiements are significantly higher than windows XP. The current Betas (build 4074) require 128mb ram minimum, double over windows xp's 64mb ram mimimum
:)Shuttle XPC SN41G2. AMD Athlon XP 2800+  (2080mhz). Seagate Baracuda 120GB ATA100. Pioneer DVR-A06 DVD-/+R/RW. Labtec Axis 007. Logitech Clicksmart 510. Sony Cybershot DSC-F717. Sony Handycam TRV-950E.

Sony Ericsson T630. 65k colour screen and camera!

thats the minimum winXP will install on. with 64mb of RAM, windows XP will barely be useable. most tech gurus recomend 256 for widowns XP

Trust me on this if you see a link to longhorn 4074 64bit edition anywhere Don't Download It. All it is is just Windows XP 64 bit edition with out some of the required AMD dll's.

:) little help for you :P

and the speed, (copy and paste from what i got a while back )

Upgrading from Windows XP

Before you read any farther PLEASE make sure your PC meets the system requirements for Longhorn. The following are the system requirements for Longhorn 4051:

(Note: These Are HIGHLY Recommended For Decent Preformance )

800MhZ Processor Speed
512MB STRONGLY recommended for smooth preformance
At Least 4 GB of Hard Disk Space

Surely it's going to require more than XP, but it's a whole new system and don't forget it's still an alpha.
