i have a question i dont think this had been asked before but i dont know so if it has dont have a go at me. my backgorund image for msn messenger convo windows in a well nice space scene but the but where u type and see the messages has a not fully solid white area and it ruins the background is ther any way to remove this and is there a plugin to choose the background to ur contact list like in the skins or can one be made

To change the background to you contact list simply go to C:/Program Files/MSN Messenger/ and change lvback.gif (i'm not sure if that still works). As for the non-solid white thing, I don't think that you can.

Yes but that would be illegal and is not advised.

ok does any one no a LEGAL way to chagne the backgroudn to the messenger contact list

I beleive that is imposible to do legally...

so how do yhey do it in a skin ?

they rewrite messenger exe file

SKins aren't illegal, but thats not really what this thread is about... Basically it can't be done without breaking the law.
