O.P. saving flash files
Hi, I view a lot of flash files but i can never save them is there anyay to save them so i can play them anytime without downloading them off the internet. I have looked it up and all I can find is pluggins for it that cost money so no way ill do that. Maybe someone can show a link to download a free reliable program or pluggin to save flash files or maybe im missing something really easy using flash. Any idea's will be great thank you.

Lol, just get the URL and use google to make a link out of it. Right click the link and hit "Save file as".

RE: saving flash files
As a matter of fact, you probably already have the file. Look into your "Temporary Internet Files"-folder (if you use MSIE*). and search for files with the extension "SWF", these are your flash animations. So drag them to the folder of your choice, et voila, no extra software needed...

*If you don't use Microsoft Internet Explorer then the principle is the same though; those files are mostlikely cached somewhere. So find your cache-directory for your browser and copy the SWF-files from there. (or, if you can't find the cache folder for your browser, you could just open the webpage with MSIE for a minute and then look into the "Temporary Internet Files"-folder.)

For that the user must know the exact URL of the flashfile, and mostlikely he wont know it without digging into the source (and even there it can be quite hard to find it if you're not familiar with html)...

RE: saving flash files
Why dont you download flash capture. Its really good. Its integrated with your IE and it will show a floating toolbar over the flash everytime there is one. U can save immediately. U can even check out your cache to see any saved flash files.
Only problem is its a 30 day trial version !!!

I used to look in the webpages source for the flash file location, then add the URL into GetRight.
Now since I no longer use GetRight, I do the method mentioned, grab the file out of the Internet Cache folder.
And then I use the Macromedia standalone Flash Player taken from Macromedia Studio MX to view the Flash files.

RE: saving flash files
the best way to get flash .swf  is with a program call save flash.
or maybe if you want something free you can use a program call get right, this program have a webbrowser that show the files on a web page and do not display the web as normal just the files on that web so you can just select the swf you want a download it normally like anything else the just play it in your IE (Y).

hope this help you;)
