no name folders

O.P. no name folders
In windows xp you can not have  a folder name by renaming it then holding alt then typing 255.......but when i do it it wont work it gose back to new folder.

What am i doing wrong?

Im not sure if i undertsand you but can't you just go into word and tye alt+225 then copy and paste?

Well for me pressing Alt + 225 works fine when naming a folder.

It says alt 0160 not Alt + 255

And you can make folders really hidden by right clicking and selecting 'hide'

Read it properly and use Alt + 0160 (NOT Alt + 225)

So.. how do you get it back? Is the only way to go to Folder Options then 'View hidden files or folders' ..?
