In windows xp you can not have  a folder name by renaming it then holding alt then typing 255.......but when i do it it wont work it gose back to new folder.

What am i doing wrong?

Explain better. I don't understand what is going wrong?

Im not sure if i undertsand you but can't you just go into word and tye alt+225 then copy and paste?

Well for me pressing Alt + 225 works fine when naming a folder.

Works fine for me.

It says alt 0160 not Alt + 255

And you can make folders really hidden by right clicking and selecting 'hide'

Read it properly and use Alt + 0160 (NOT Alt + 225)

follow all the steps completely and correctly and it works fine, i've tested.

So.. how do you get it back? Is the only way to go to Folder Options then 'View hidden files or folders' ..?

No, just select it and change the icon back to a visible one
