I wonder if you could tweak the NTFS permissions (in Windows NT/XP) so your kids aren't allowed to delete files in that folder. You'd probably have to allow reading and writing of files so MsgPlus! could access the logs, but deleting/moving shouldn't be necessary unless you have log archiving enabled...
