type /theme, and :/ what other skinning features do you want?

With that, you can modify the colors, but not the rest of the attributes. Try to go with theme and create your own theme that looks exactly like mine. As you might of noticed, I have images in my theme, and modified a bunch of attributes not supported by the current "theming engine".

Idea thought by me & FineWolf:

Only people that has done over 150 posts can post in the shoutbox?

Asked before and answered before with 'no'...

The main question: why?

If it is to control spammers, then so what? It is a shoutbox, not a forum thread or whatever. Also, if one really wants to spam, they then go creating a forum account and start posting like hell to reach x posts. This is even worse...

I totally agree. If someone knows that they have to get to 150 posts to be allowed in the shoutbox then they will probably spam even more to reach that amount...

Even if this idea did go ahead I think 150 is really too much. If it was going to be considered then I would think at least 50 or at most 100 posts would be sensible.

I like the ideas.

But I think the post requirement should be much lower. Something like 10 to 25.

Also, I agree with many here that the shoutbox is not really THAT important, since you can go to IRC if you want to avoid excessive SPAM.

But for those who want to stay there or can't go to IRC, a little screening wouldn't hurt anyone.

And I agree with FineWolf that the skinning system should be improved to allow images and (maybe even) name coloring. :)

Hack, hack, hack!

You snapped my words. :(

:P I agree, not so much as limit, and a better skinning "engine".

Bah. The shoutbox is fine as it is. Only like 5 or 8 people use it reguarly, and we all like it the way it is :undecided:

There could be a better skinning engine, but its not a requirement.

The spamshoutbox is good as it is, imo.

Ok, so you've created a thread.

I think I need to mention here that you have to be nicer to new registered members or to people you call noobs.

A "noob" made a fine point here.

Guests could shout in the shoutbox until mid-2004 (I think).
