but, i was thinking about leaving the automessage thing the same, just simplying implemting commands into it, so you could still leave a normal automessage or program your own if you feel like it...

althought i know you would have to type some prefix to start the programing mode so it would know the difference between a "write" command and "write"  written type

so im sure you could type somethign like

[prog]    then teh program goes in here [/prog]

and this is all in the autoaway message, so unless you type
[prog]   [/prog] then it will just be a reagualar automessage with out no code..

but anyways, leito.gt the screenshot was well worth the time, but not exactly what i had in mind,

why dont you try taking a screenshot of the orginal autoaway personalization, and add some code in there such as:

[prog]

write "1. where am i?"
write "2. how much i weight"

if user type 1 then
type "at my girlfriends"

if user type 2 then
type "160 lbs."

[/prog]

i like the interface idea in the options panel, that makes it really easy, i think a newbie could handle that

Zred, your very contradictory, this isnt an issue of overcomming problems, its a matter of making msn plus add more features... and well why do we have an autoauto message at all, when we can "over come this issue by simply" telling everyone on our list where were goin, see what im getting at here, sure it will...
and its not about spending 10 minutes making a autoaway message everytime, its about making one once, and using that for everytime, so its convenet. that way people can still get info about you, if you program it, pic, phone number, where you are, etc etc...

this yes isnt for everyone, only for those who want it...


i remmeber no one ever used the colour msn names untill one person did it, then everyone started asking how to do it, im sure it will catch on if people see it

its so simple, the programming lanuge is even self-explainitory

I was looking and thinking if you actually changed it to actual Macros. You could make it for messages you send as well. It would also include then the ability for the user to make presets of commands todo in quick moves. It would also then be able todo away messages. However thinking about it, what would be even better is scripting for Plus!, that could do this an so much more

If you make it a full blown language, than there are many problems with it.

firstly, newbies wouldnt understand what to do with it, they would just get confused, if everyone knew how to code, than we could all make our own program that did exactly wot we wanted.

secondly, as patchou has already said, if he made a programming language, there is a chance that people could use this for hacking and stuff, the only way to combat this would be to limit the amount of functions and stuff available, but then less people would use it.

I think this idea is a good idea, but its slightly too sepcialists tbh. Not many people would use it. However, if u are gona make it, it shouldnt be a language, more like a wizard style system. with rules and stuff, sort of in the same way outlook express's mail filter works.

yes its called advanced, but its a simple advanced automessage system, im not talking about making it into a full blown languge, im just saying keep it simple

write, send, remote, if, then, record, blah blah, just simple enough things that are impossible to be used for hacking. that way were all happy, and for the last time, YES not everyone will use it but people will see the little colourful menus, and inquire how to do it, and it will catch on just like the colourful msn names. that took a while but it worked. eh.
