but crashes all the time with MSN 8.5!!!!

are there some "tricks" to make this stable?
or can we expect an incoming fix?

This is sorta strange..

Convo Notifier worked just fine for me.

When installing Live Notifier, I get a message saying that the script has been installed successfully, but, nothing ever happens, no toast message.

And by 'settings' window, do you mean the window with all that.. coding language stuff? :P

EDIT: I'm on version: 8.1.0178

Hi!

I downloaded the script but it doesn't install. I suspect it may be because I have Windows Vista.

Does this work with Windows Vista?

For all of those who have troubles with this script, please read threads before posting...
The many reasons for this script not working are already explained.

Anyways, please at least read this:
CookieRevised's reply to Question regarding a "close msg window logger"

Such notifier scripts, plugins and/or addons STOPPED WORKING SINCE MSN MESSENGER 7.0!!! That's several years ago!!!

In short: do not bother trying to install this, it will NOT work anyways. see the link in this post why...

Same thing here.. I love the script, but it crashes WLM too often. I think it crashes when someone opens a conversation with me. Unfortunately it's not possible to choose which notifications to receive and which not to receive.

I'm affraid I'm gonna have to disable this script.

Are there any alternatives for this script? I used to use messenger discovery but it slowed up my pc too much, don't wanna install that again.

With all respect but PLEASE read some posts and follow some links before posting....

The reason why this thread is "44 pages long" is because people do not bother to read or at least follow some links in post, even if they were posted a few posts before...

I have already replied to the other post you made. Please keep to one thread, search before posting and most importantly, please be patient in waiting for a reply
