Hi there,

I tried SS3 Beta 3.0.148 but if I install it MSN won't start! It just hangs during sign in.  If I remove the Freeimage.dll, I get a path error, but MSN starts, but without the plugin. So I think there is problem with the freeimage.dll.

I use the latest MsgPlus 3 beta and MSN 6.2.

Of course if you remove the Freeimage.dll you are sure to get problems, its there for a reason and without it, SS3 will not function properly

I think from Dempsey's last post he is looking into this for bugs anyway, but i will notify him for you about this problem. For now try re-installing and see if the problem persists.. if so then please be patient and wait for news from Dempsey

thanks for the fast reply. I understand that it won't function without the FreeImage.dll, however, I just wanted to see what the problem was.

I tried re-installing but still the same problem.  I will just keep checking here and wait for a new version.

I have the same problem. I've installed the latest version but it just wont show up in the plugin list

Windows Version: Windows XP, 5.01.2600
Messenger Client Version: 6.2.0133
Messenger Plus! Version: 3.00.0092

Did you close out and re-start Msn Messenger?

Yeah, i did. Even went through the registry (why is it still called MsgPlus2 lol) and under RegisteredPlugins i see thats "it's" there. The usual files are in the plugins directory (FreeImage.dll & SS.dll) but it seems that MP just doesnt recognises it.

you could try to register SS.dll but if that doesnt work then im not sure.

RegSvr32 "c:\program files\messenger plus! 3\plugins\ss.dll"

change the abobe to match your installation folder

hmmm, i already tried that one. Didnt work either

Err... I have the same problem, and if it can help you, it started with version 3.0.418...

3.0.383 works fine...
