But there isn't a different version now for windows xp / nt+2000 / 95+98. They probably putted them all together in one setup file (cuz the install is almost 8 mb)

Then I suggest you check your settings, reboot or reinstall, because I do have sounds...

This is not the final.. At http://messenger.msn.com you still see  '6.0' and if it WAS the final it said '6.1'

It is the final. I don't care what http://messenger.msn.com says, I installed it and it is definately the final. You can download the final from the Microsoft Download Center.

yep the final version is 6.1.0155 to b more specific!
