I don't really think a persons location really needs to be added to the side of their posts. Afterall, what's so hard about just clicking the profile button to see a users location, if you really want to know it.
As for the flags, I've seen similar things on other forums and in my honest opinion they just make the page look ugly. Besides, there are that many countries you would need a whole load of small flags.
