RE: Quick Edit?
It is indeed very long, especially if you cleared your cache before :( (and I'm on ADSL)... Another possebility is to make a checkbox in your User Control Panel to check if you want the emoticons and "richtext"-emoticons to show up or not (I never use those emoticons anyway, the most I use is the link to the smilies and I type my mybb codes myself)

RE: Quick Edit?
I think it would be great, but not absolutely necessary. I'm on 56K modem and it takes some time to load, especially when I'm downloading some stuff and have no bandwidth left :(

Yeh i think a very basic popup with no flash extra buttons just

'qucik edit' - i.e. quick to load would be nice. It would speed things up and make everything alot smoother.

SideNote - Seems to me we have all got very lazy lol :) First everyone in the forum worlds wanted quick searches, quick replys and new edits. Hmm makes you wonder that it might even be better to make an entire foum system that just used 'quick options as its what people seem to prefere.

If WDZ implements it correctly, he can do the quick reply be filled with the code of the post to edit and when you press the post reply button (that would be renamed to edit) it'd edit the post.
Hmm... clever idea... :p

I'll add these ideas to my to-do list in the "low priority - big stuff" section. :refuck:
