I have a car, and don't even have my permit yet. I get it next year in June.

RE: My new car! (Now with pic.s!)
I'm envious of the Americans, they get their cars so early, we're not even allowed to own a car until we're 17, and then we have to get lessons for ages, then we take Hazard Perception and Theory and then we have to pay for our main driving test, by the time we've finished, we're 18 and have no money left to pay for university, unless of course you're lucky and get a grant.
When I get my first car, I just want a hatchback, learn to drive, its not important what it looks like at the start, its just the performance I worry about. I think ther are more important things in life than doing up your car, so i'm going to buy it, then i'm going to save my money, but still get things that I need, not go skint just to buy a body kit for my car, be smart with your money, don't waste it straight away, what if you crash your car, how much time and money has gone down the drain.

Personally, I'd rather have it our way then the american way. Automatics? No real driving exam... just a muck about then a test to say your alright. Here it is really strict, but makes some damn good drivers.
I posted a whole thing about our system in a discussion with sock in T&T, but it was pruned.

I have one of those, and its simply on cost. Its probably one of the most efficent cars to have atm, I learnt that on a recent trip when I got twice as many miles to a gallon then a friend got.

This is true, I have a friend who has written off 3 cars, and has only been driving a year. There insurance is exactly the same as mine, now how is that fair? [/rant]

The ford fiesta is the most economic car in the world, therefore this is what I want, its quite cheap, runs well, does a lot of miles to the gallon, cheap to buy, cheap to fix, cheap to insure.

thats not fair at all, he should have to pay more insurance, I also think its sexist to men, because they have an insurance company just for woman! How bad is that, they may be good drivers, but we don't get priviledges, we don't get our own car insurance for men, even if we did, the company would be sued for being sexist. [/rant]
