I believe an option should be added to add it into the bar with the emoticon and font selection in it.

I recently installed buddyplay and would frankly rather see the little format bar there

If the option could be added in the preferences that would be dandy

That's a good suggestion actually, and Patchou has already done something similar with the little logo...

Patchou already said he won't do it, cuz of people using the handwriting plugin or other languages wont see it.

use ' ( ' to display the emoticons panel. It couldn't be easier

and about the font: it's can't be changed with plus, so there isn't such option.

no choli the font and emoticon selection are already in messenger by default. I'm talking about the 'ctrl+R' format bar where you can select your font to be in Bold, Italics, Underlined or slashed

Why can't patchou do this? I've just realised that when the chat window is resized 'too-small' the plus logo disappears so why can't the same be added to the format bar, plus if its only an option that is off by default what harm can it cause?

but yes i'd use it alot more if it were like this rather than ctrl+r

Yeah I agree that would be useful  but not really something a necessary as the options are already within click reach

I can't do it for many reasons and one in particular: if the formatting options were so much visible, people would use it without knowing that it'sa Plus! feature and their contacts who don't have Plus! would be bothered by it. The format bar is accessible with Ctrl+R very easily (you can always use Ctr+B ... for direct input of the codes) and can be accessed from the Plus! icon menu... that way, it's clear that it's a Plus!feature

not a brilliant excuse but i understand, why would non plus contacts be annoyed? do they see the symbols?
