I can see that, but that doesn't mean that it is a block checker. This is a service to show your own online status on a webpage. Just like ICQ has (or had?) that feature build in.

Alright. But the purpose of a blockchecker is that it tells you if the contact has blocked you or not. Like you say: If the contact is offline on your list but onlinestatus.org says online (or away/busy/etc.) then you know you are blocked. However, when it says offline at your contactlist
and onlinestatus.org you still don't know anything.
I just took a test with 13 contacts (those were all online contacts at that moment). From the 13
online contacts it said that 10 of them were
offline. This is abviously not correct, the allow lists of these contacts causes that. Only 3 adresses returned the right status.
Real blockcheckers like they existed in the past always returned the right status and by-passed allow lists. Such blockcheckers don't work anymore, systems like onlinestatus.org can only be relied on when it returns a status other then offline/unknown.
