Woah nice

0.1 second; that's not going to cut anything really important from your sounds, only make it sound better... I don't think it's really worth it to add a checkbox to the interface for that (yes, many users get frightened of extra controls).

Patchou, is that a KDE-style logo in one of the Custom Sounds windows?
I'm not a Linux user so I don't really know KDE, what icon are you talking about and why does it remind you of KDE? (just asking out of curiosity ).
It's the blue cog icon.
The cog on the bottom left?
It's from Windows XP's resources... and it's a cog, how can't it be similar to another cog!
cog?, that looks like a sprocket to me

Cog
Popular term for a rear sprocket. Sometimes incorrectly used as a synonym for cluster, which is actually a group of cogs.
Originally, "cog" referred to just a single tooth on a "cog wheel." Then "cog wheel" was shortened by popular usage to "cog."

When sounds are cut, I think he means that... using a fade in/fade out gives a smoother sound. (if you know what I mean)

Sorry, I made a mistake.. the fade-in and fade-out effects created by Plus! are 70 milliseconds at each side. And no, it can't be disabled as this is not something you'll actually hear, it's just to smoothout the sound to avoid the sound card to play an annoying click at the begining and/or end of the sound (that can happen for various technical reasons).

nice !
cuz people usually never trim the begining and the ending.
What i mean by triming is returning the wave at 0db amplitude to avoid clicks

nice . hehe question time..
1. are the public sounds going to be moderated? cause you wouldnt want someone to use a random public sound taht yells @&#^ YOU! now would you.
2. is it to late to beg for a way to add a regestry tweak or something so that you can choose where you see the origonal name added on? like
contact list [x]
toats [x]
conversations [_]
one of my biggest pet peves is having 4 lines of name for each line fo text in a conversation window

You can chose if you want to usecustom names or not during a chat, else, they are applied everywhere else. As for moderating the public sounds, yes, they will be moderated up to some extent(I'm not here to judge what is politically correct, I'll just remove extreme stuff like racism)..
