...can delete ALL files on your hardrive? Reformating doesn't delete all. It deletes all saved all logs and crap. The only other way to get rid of them is to physicly damage it...

Reformatting gets rid of everything on your harddrive, including Windows.

yeah but data still can be retreived. i recommend "System Mechanic" it has a DriveScrubber option which overwrites the hard drive to the point that information can in no way be recovered.

btw be careful with System Mechanic, because if you use options you dont understand you can really mess up your system

Not really. All that data is still there, It's just the map of the drive has been deleted. If you really want to distroy the data on the drive you need a drive burner. It writes 0's to every bit on the drive multiple times to eliminate the ability to recover the data on the drive.

if you mean with DriveScrubber -  (in the program you have that option) you can make a bootable floppy, and just put it in, restart the computer and follow the directions. the Drive Scrubber overwrites your entire hard drive.

Edit: it erases ALL the data on the physical drive. so if you have partitions - there is no option to just erase one partition everything will be gone.

There is also another piece of software from Mcafee called I think DataGone I have it but not uploaded to anywhere.  This will really do the trick.  It's small fits on a floppy and does the trick the only thing is that it does take a long time to do but this will really destroy your Hard Drive.  Interested?

i'll stick with drivescrubber unless datagone or any other software is better...
