Unfortunately no, not that easily... I can change the registrys ettings however, Messenger won't use them as long as it's not restarted. As I said, I'll keep your suggestion for future updates

There has to be a way to force Messenger to pick up new sound settings, since changes made in the control panel are recognized right away.  What about sending it WM_SETTINGCHANGE?
