Demz, it isn't a problem with the refreshing of the service, if you look above where you receive your emails, there is a link that says 'refresh' so that you refresh, this is just a basic refresh script and does the same as what it would you if you press F5 or the refresh button (w/e)...
I don't see why they have sent that email, are you sure it isn't just an april fool's by somebody or something, have you tried using gmail?!... I can't see why they would send that, unless somebody with a dodgy IP or proxy tried to access your gmail

... I don't know, I didn't think that gmail systems would be that smart to do so... I only know of paypal doing that
