well the whole thing if t&t is shut people will spam other places.......then the spammers can be banned, its like a way of finding out the 'proper' members and the spammers....

Indeed. "People won't have anywhere to post their spam!" - don't spam at all then? If you must spam then just type it into a notepad file and then delete it. Post it on your website. Do anything but make others have to sort through your total crap to get to useful stuff!

But not if it is going to cause flame wars and such.

Seriously, numerous members have left because of the increasing amount of spam on this place and the fact people are making useless replies to help requests and providing wrong information. People have left because they don't like the attitude of people here.

Right now i'm going to enforce a new "policy" of mine. You spam the first time (ie 2 reported posts from you), you get one warning. Spam again its a 24 hour ban with an email sent to you explaining why. Spam again after that it becomes a week. Eventually you'll just be banned.

Now, if you post warez, you'll be banned right away. If you flame another member, well you'll possibly be banned right away too.

These wont be the actions of all of the moderators, but of me, unless they decide to adopt this idea too.

It gets on my nerves that I come here wanting to read threads/post and I spend half my time dealing with reported posts, bad reputations and everything else. It also shits me to death when people are spamming and i'm tyring to read "real" threads and posts.

Basically, if you dont know how to help in a help wanted thread, dont post.

If you are not sure about how to help, same thing.

If proper help was given already, dont post it a second or third time. So please, read what already been said.

If you cant say something nice about a person, dont post. (no flamming, theres been a awful lot of it lately).

And yeah, I delete lotsa posts, so if you dont follow these basic rules, dont come and complain i deleted some of your posts

Chris I'm glad to see at least one of the administrators is enforcing some kind a state of marshal law.  It's the only thing that will have an effect on this forum.  You all can talk about what needs to be done, and what & who needs to change, but actions speak loader then words.   

I support you and your actions.

its because we do not take this type of bullshit from members.
and yes, some have left, (some perm banned).
but i must say, the forum is a better place for it.

you all complain about the spam...

who cares that its in t&t, you should at least stay on topic....
