Bungie said that Halo3 is definatly on the tables, but it wont be their next project. They will do somthing else and then halo 3.

On the note of the box i think X2 would have been a much better name.. (P.S Nintendo Revolutions isnt a great name either, reminds me of the matrix)

I like the name "XBOX 360" personally, it's very unique, and it comes in from all dimensions of the gaming world

i think they are probably trying to make a name that sounds on the same level as PS3, because xbox 2 would sound inferior to ps3

Thats a really good point I never thought of it that way.


I, personally do like the name of Xbox360 and i dont see why people dislike it. But i guess logically, it would suit a round unit better

That's what I first thought when I herd it was going to be called Xbox 360. The 3 in it makes it sound like its at the same level as the PS3, as saralk said.

That's the whole reason behind it. They didn't want to go with "Xbox 2" bcz that sounds like it's 1 behind "PS3". It's a subliminal marketing gimick.

Or maybe both companies should drop "Xbox" AND "Playstation" and come up with better names which would represent REAL change
