There can be several things causing this problem:
Previous use of the handwriting plugin - solution: check the pluginsfolder (C:\Program Files\MessengerPlus! 3\Plugins, there can be several Plus folders..check all of em) for handwriting.dll and delete this after closing MSNM.
You are using SmileyCentral - solution: uninstall this (it's not compatible with MsgPlus!), uninstall instructions can be found
here.
How to do a clean Plus! install:
- Uninstall including preferences and plugins
(if you have preferences set and like to keep them you can back those up first: plus > preferences > save/load, save this file somewhere where you can find it back easy. If you have customsounds in sound library, make a soundpack of em: plus icon on main msnm screen > open sound library > add > export)
- Reboot
- Remove all folders pointing towards Messenger Plus in program files folder
- Reinstall Plus!
- Reload preferences if you saved them: plus > preferences > save/load.
- Add your sounds back by importing the soundpack you made: plus icon in main msnm screen > open sound library > add.
