Here's some pics and vids I took of the storm and the storm's aftermath from my home. It was only a Category 1 hurricane when it reached here so don't expect any real big damage or wind or rain like they got in New Orleans.

btw, I'm in Kemper County, Mississippi.

Holy crap i havnt seen much about this, it looks terrible.

..the new orleans hurricane didnt need to big that bad for alot of damage to be done. The city is below sea level,all they needed was a small push to their dams for the city to be destroyed

Wow, that's scary, I guess I'm considering myself REALLY lucky.

Harrison County in Mississippi got the worst damage from the hurricane itself IMO. If the dams wouldn't have been destroyed in New Orleans, I bet it wouldn't look/seem/be as bad as it is. Harrison County though has homes completely destroyed and trees and powerlines down everywhere and hundreds dead from the hurricane.

it would suck to be those guys...

tbh, i cant believe nothing was done about it sooner. All these people are now stranded. Not only are they dying of no food or water, there are all sorts of dangers. Looters, killers, rapists...contaminated sewage water.
