yea... which one? even stuff no-ones heard of that works is fine... just getting reli annoyed with FF and IE, all i want is address bar and go button tbh...

I doubt there is ever some comprehensive test done like that. Some test and/or people will say browser X will use the most resources, another will say browser Y. It highly depends on what sites you're using for the comparisson and stuff...

Anyways, if you simply want an address bar (and a go button; which you don't need since you can press enter also ), why not simply edit your browser preferences so only that is shown?

Opera is great! It's the fastest browser i've ever used and has other great features.
Although firefox has huge memory leaks if you keep it running for a long time without closing, it's the one I prefer due to its extensions. Now I can't live without the extensions

Well Maxthon is using about 8mb at the moment (stays around 5-6mb on sites like this). Never goes up any higher really. Sometimes, due to heavy websites but that is expected.

Lynx! I think you might want a few more features though.

The Opera TPs (betas) have memory leaks. I think it may be some sort of debug log, I might ask there soon. The normal releases might build up a high memory usage, but that is over time if you have been working a lot. Opera keeps recent pages in memory, so that when you click Back, the page appears almost instantly, rather that having a few seconds to wait. With lots of pages open and lots of back/forward history, the memory usage can climb, but when the memory is needed, Opera frees it up for that other program. By comparison to Internet Explorer, Opera's memory usage is miniscule.

I use Opera and it uses a lot of CPU.. i dunno if its because i maintain open 10 + tabs eachh time i use it...

I think its IE tbh, but it sucks.

There have been times when I have been cruising with 100+ open tabs in Opera (now is one of those times), it didn't cause a rise in CPU usage. memory usage was obviously high, hundreds of megabytes, but after running a game for a while, the memory usage dropped to about 50 MB, thanks to the intelligent memory usage.
