I agree that load speed is really important. In this particular case "Coming soon" should be text, not part of the image (as a good design practice, not only for filesize).

Not just needs, really needs. I don't think that it deserves to be even given tentative validity, because incorrect character encoding screws up even simple things like quotation marks, question marks and apostrophes.

PS CSS is valid but W3C gives the warning "Line : 27 (Level : 1) You have no color with your background-color : body" which can be easily fixed.

I love OSWD but there were so many designs there ...... as it ended up ..... some of it was crap so ... it was harder to get the good ones ....

I designed http://afhosting.net and various other past websites. Guido can give me the gfdd seal of quality.

I am fully able to code to css standards (no tables) and I would like to consider myself good at graphics design.
