It's a beta. The beta of Office 2003 was a memory hog too, The retail product was alot better, but still. Office in general is a memory hog. So if Open Office.
Now if you want to see a program with some great memory managment, Try Photoshop CS2. It's a huge memory hog when you are working in it, but I can have huge photos open in Photoshop in the background and it's only using 3mb of ram. "A towel is about the most massively useful

It seems that the Office 12 Beta serial codes handed out for free by Microsoft work on any version of office. However, you can't be too sure if it will expire in February or not either way. Activate now, before they fix this bug!

i never had a problem with OO on my machine.. whether that be windows or linux, but IMO it starts up quicker in linux than windows

i have no use for PhotoShop whether i pirate it or not. i find Gimp does just about everything i need it to do 3MB aint to bad if its using that much ram |
