I've noticed when I have tabbed chats minmised and another contact sends a message, the last contact I was active with is flashing rather than the one that just sent message.

Apart from that it is working great! 

It's allready known. But cheers anyway.

This has been annoying me too!

I talk to person A, then talk to person B. I have 2 tabs, A and B. After talking to B, I give focus to another app, and then person A sends a message, and in the taskbar it looks like person B has sent a message.

Where is this being discussed?

This is a normal behaviour in Messenger Plus!, this prevents chat windows to switch automatically if you were reading something else.

1st:
I remember that in old Plus! for MSN7 there is an option named "Auto activate Tab"(maybe not that but no matter the name), maybe we could do it like this:
When chat window is focused(we are reading something or typing), new coming message will not be switched, when we are doing other thing and chat window not focused, activate the new coming message. If it is possible to do that, that maybe perfect

2nd:
I met another bug: Turn on tab chatting function,  open A window then open B window, now press WIN+D to minimize all windows, you'll see window title on taskbar changed to the first opened window A! This bug can recur every time with newest release Plus! and Live Messenger 787. Could you please take a look at this?

Thats nice but I want it to flash to the person who has actually just replied though then i can quickly reply to them

I find it to be very annoying. I always think it's the other person who said something.

I guess the tabbed conversations aren't what they used to be. This isn't for me.

No, there is no fix for it as it is intended behaviour as Patchou explained.

Yes, I find it also a bit 'annoying' (if I can use that word) that the flashing taskbar button doesn't show the contact which last messaged me. However, I would find it extremely more annoying when tabs would switch automatically (as that will be the consequence of implementing this).

Also, when you see the taskbar button flashing and you click on it, it is very easy to see who has written the new message by the colored tab. So it is not like there is no way to determine who wrote last either...

Related: the behaviour shown in Plus!3 with switching tabs was the cause of extremely many annoyences and bugs and what not, hence why it was not included anymore.
