I've been playing with my computer for the last few days after one day MsgPlus! wasn't integrated in my WLM any more.

I first tried a normal un-installation/re-installation of everything and that helped me none. I've tried different combinations of WLM/MsgPlus!/A-Patch installing and un-installing to no avail. I've tried removing all WLM/MsgPlus!/A-Patch related folders and files, but I haven't gone through the registry. I've tried different combinations of different versions of WLM and MsgPlus!.

After coming to a post on here about trying to install MsgPlus! in Safe Mode, I gave it a try. I could successfully install and use MsgPlus! within Safe Mode. After rebooting however, back to the same problem.

I tried removing everything and starting from scratch in Safe Mode. WLM refused to start installation.

At current, I have the latest version of WLM installed, it shows I have the latest version of MsgPlus! installed in Control Panel, and I have used A-Patch. I am using Vista. I have no Smiley or other spyware/adware/suspicious software installed.

What might be useful for me are:

Instructions to remove all WLM/MsgPlus! related registry items.
Instructions to remove all WLM/MsgPlus! related files hiding in the system crevasses.
Some kind of manual installing instructions for MsgPlus!
Some kind of checker to check if MsgPlus is installing correctly.
Any other suggestions!

Sounds like you have an anti-virus program preventing it from loading properly. Have you tried disabling you anti-virus software?

Also anything like sweetim or smiley central installed?

I'm just going to try disabling all security I can.. I'm running AVG free and I can't seem to find any disabling options.

As mentioned earlier, no smiley etc software.

even if you have to exit out that will do the same job.

If that doesn't help then a clean install could be required.

Completely disabled AVG Free. No luck there.

How clean do you mean when you say clean install? Are there some guides as to what I should clean out?

No, I've never had such software on this computer.

I've upgraded versions of MsgPlus! with no problems in the previous few months with AVG Free running. I haven't installed any new software either.

I'll work through that guide.

Done everything in the guide. Still refuses to show.

means you must have something blocking it...what that could be is hard to say...apart from AVG, what other security like programs do you have?

Vista's normal security stuff, which includes Windows Defender. I checked Windows Defender and it isn't blocking anything.

All these things were installed previously when installing MsgPlus! worked.

Isn't MsgPlus! integrated into WLM now? Meaning if WLM can start it will have Plus! within it?
