on the old account, go to 'contacts' menu -> 'save instant messaging contacts...' and save the file somewhere

then log in to the new account and go to 'contacts' -> 'import instant messaging contacts...' and select the file you've saved in step one.

Okay that didn't exactly work. Do I have to add them all to Windows Live Messenger too?? Because they were added but it doesn't send a message for people to add the contact. I am confused. lol.

What is wrong here? If you imported that file (which includes all old contacts) to the new account, Messenger servers should notify people on the other side about you have added them.

Make sure your contacts have checked the option in WLM's Options "Notify me when people add me to their contact lists".
