Hello,

I have been searching the forum, and i found a couple of more people with the same problem i have:

Some of my messages are not delivered, and i also do not receive some of the messages people send to me.

I have tried everything: Virus scans, cleaning spyware, tested with another router, i even formated my pc. Nothing worked.

I submitted a ticket to Windows Live support, and here's the tricky part, they asked me to uninstall Plus!

My question is, could this problem be really related to Plus? I never had this problem, and coincidentally, showed up when new Plus!/WLM versions show up.

Ideas?

Plus! does not alter anything in the protocol, nor does it prevent Messenger to send the messages, nor does it tamper with your connection.

So in short: no, it should not have any influence at all.

However, there are other addons which do tamper with the protocol and/or with your connection (Messenger Discovery is one of them). And even after uninstalling such addons you might still experience problems because they don't always set the original connection settings back for example.

First of all, sorry for the cross posting.

Well, i don't have any third party addons other than Plus!. This whole lost messages thing is driving me a little nuts, i get a lot of "didn't you see my message?" from people. It's really fu***** annoying.

I'm all out of ideas, i'm gonna keep pressing the matter with Windows Live Support.

PS: Although it is far fetched, do make sure you don't have any dodgy Messenger Plus! scripts running though. Bad written scripts in Messenger Plus! could discard messages.

No scripts, no nothing. Did a clear WLM installation, then i installed Plus!, only configured normal stuff (tabbed chats, etc) and added a skin (Infusco by Willz). No scripts running, nothing. Pretty frustrating.

Try to uninstall the skin and see if that helps anything.

this problem existed long ago but it seems pretty hard to solve.
sending feedback to microsoft didnt help either.

It sure does help. The more people with this problem report it to Support (note: 'support' is not 'feedback') to better they can pinpoint the problem.

This either is a problem with their servers, or with the new MSN build. I didn't have this problem until 1 month ago or so... Which tells me that it has to be either one of these 2 causes.

That doesn't mean much either. The problem can still be caused by a lot of other things too.
