Scripts on your computer can communicate with scripts on your contacts' computers - but that's at your contacts' scripts' discretion. One of the things I miss most from MP!3 is the ability to dock my messenger window to the side of my screen - especially now, with windows live's hidden menu bar not actually allowing the damned thing to reach the top of my screen.
