Thx for a great reply! I suppose that doesn't matter whether I run WLM 8.5 or 9.0 ? I do understand that skinning messenger has to be a challenge.

So, thats not impossible anyway ;) You mentioned a registry setting to make "new chat windows appear not minimised when a new message is sent". Actually I cant see what the difference is between that setting and the standard behavior of messenger ...
