I tried updating plus! and the problem still occurred. so i did a clean install of MSN, to remove a-patch, and the character no longer appears. When i reinstalled a-patch, the character was back. I can use video conferences in full screen: to use them go to Actions >> Audio/Video >> Start a Video Conference. In order to see your contacts webcam full screen you need to press a button to the side of the picture (kinda like an arrow).
