Disable new version alert?

OK. For the past two days everytime I log on to WLM, it freezes on me before its finished loading. I do not have plus downloaded yet on this computer. Mine did that until I figured out it wasn't MSN at all.. It was our cable modem which was 5 years old at the time. Yes, I know the internet disconnects sometimes but it does it wayyy to much every time I log on AOL, msn/aim will reconnect itself. Everytime I bring up America Online to check my email briefly. MSN 7.0 disconnects/reconnects and so does AIM. I have comcast cable as my ISP so it all should stay up.
