During the last few days, I have had various different problems with flashing using tabbed chats. Are you running on Vista capoeira4u? I have at LAST identifed the problem. The problem lies in tabbed conversations. When I am using them the window does not flash at all, even if there is only one conversation window present. I see, I know this may be a long shot, but perhaps just try a cleanup of useless files. Something similar happened to me with MSN 7.5 with it freezing.
