RE: windows live messenger setup error code 1603 This procedure got around the error code 1603 for me: 1. I opened the WLM download as an archive (I use 7-zip) 2. I extracted all the members in the archive to a temp folder 3. I ran the MsnMsgs.msi 4. It installed OK !!
