Trust me finding an older version won't help. Ever since the betas first started I've had this bug, it's clearly an account error Microsoft is too lazy to fix. I'm not sure if this would help but there's an option in Messenger saying something like "this is a shared computer so don't story my address book, display picture, or personal message on it". I've tried that already multiple times. As I said in my first post, it doesn't even work when I install a new operating system onto a virtual PC and install Messenger fresh from download.live.com.
