Completely uninstall Messenger. Make sure there are no remnant files or folders. Then go to Start, Run and type in %temp% and then OK. (Not sure if that shortcut works on 2000, but it should. have you tried reinstalling WLM, that may fix it. You should try that. It doesn't take very long and usually fixes problems with WLM. Tell me if the problem still happens after that. im not to sure, you say you reinstalled it but the problem is still reoccurring. Do you have the latest version of WLM? im not sure what this could be. whats the error code number? also you could try reinstalling it, sometimes it just doesnt install properly.
