The steps taken are: 1. Uninstall all the visual programs (2008 and 2005) and visual ++C 2. Uninstall Windows Live Essential Beta (everything in it) 3. Re-boot 4. Heya, I am having the same problem as well, I have uninstalled all my Visuals (the 2008 and 2005 ones), as well as Visual ++ CC (I think).
