RE: Virus on MSN
Not everyone is as elite as you, sir. Besides, .PIF files are cool. As are .ES, .EVIL, .SEPH, gotta love them. Unless you'd like to spend your time educating people to not do something (which result in them doing it) then seriously, don't reply to...

RE: Stretchy, flexible boards for Opera 8 beta 2
For those of you wondering, probably not many of you, a new build has been released of Opera 8 Beta 2. Improvements include experimental IMAP code and I believe it fixes the table width bug. I haven't downloaded it, so please, correct me if I'm wro...

RE: error
As blackjack said above, download ScanXMLLogs by Jonathan Kay. It can be found at jonathankay.com. If I recall correctly, Microsoft will not fix this problem, so your only work-around to it is to use ScanXMLLogs regularly, or not use MSN Messenger's...

RE: Microsoft Fingerprint
Apparently it doesn't work with Opera or Firefox, confirm? I'm thinking of getting one myself.

RE: Msn today
Here's an update, MSN Today will be updated in phases over the next few months in other markets. Yesterday, MSN Today was launched in two markets - supposedly the United States and Canada, however that doesn't seem true for all accounts..

RE: Stretchy, flexible boards for Opera 8 beta 2
The odd thing is, the bug doesn't show up for everyone..There's mixed responses on the Opera forums. Some people see the bug, some people don't. Just to clarify, it's not because of a clean install or not. I always do clean installs for new Opera...

RE: Msn today
Ah, ic. So instead of users waiting for their account to be updated, you allow them to force the update with a patch :)?

RE: Msn today
What do you mean by that? You can easily change the language of MSN Today by changing the language in your profile. Or in this case, if you are going through the url, change "en" to "fr". One thing I did notice however, is that if the "/languag...

RE: Stretchy, flexible boards for Opera 8 beta 2
Hmm, it seems the "Fit to window width" option has no effect on anything anymore..could this be the fault? And can anyone confirm? I don't really know of any big (as in the size of the page, not the size of the community) sites to test this on.

RE: Msn today
It doesn't matter what the url is. It asks you to login to *your* passport, and then loads the appropriate MSN Today. Regardless of the url you use. As such, if your passport's MSN Today hasn't been updated, then the only way you'll see the new M...

RE: Msn today
It also seems that MSN Today isn't updated ONLY based on location. I have mutiple passports and only some of them have been updated to the new MSN Today.

Stretchy, flexible boards for Opera 8 beta 2
I've just upgraded to Opera 8 beta 2 and everything seems to be stretched, well, I guess only the posts and topics. It's probably an Opera issue, as it's happening with Neowin.net forums too.. Just thought I'd let you know, lest someone has a sol...

RE: Msn today
Each MSN Today respectively loads the local content from the local portal (eg. for Canada, that's msn.ca). The other places don't seem to have been updated yet. The update only seems to apply to US users at present, Canada isn't including in "Pha...

RE: Internet Explorer 7 Preview 1
Perhaps they will..but even so, that doesn't help security. SP2 was created to combat most of the known SP1 security holes. If you don't install it, what's the difference whether you can or cannot install Internet Explorer 7? You're still at risk...

RE: In a LAN: Starting MSN in PC2 reboots PC1
Doesn't for me. Yes, routers are perhaps cool. But an incorrectly setup one can lead to a ton of problems. Beware.

RE: "Official Tester" stickers [WDZ PLZ READ!!]
I don't get what's the big deal with the stickers. Everything has gone crazy ever since traxor was made a tester. Tester "stickers" are only supposed to be given after the beta is over, IF you have contributed to the Beta by submitting bugs. And ...

RE: Running 2 Msn Version On a Single PC?
Yes you can, but not without polygamy. You need to patch both versions with polygamy after you install them. Here's a quick todo: 1) Install one version of MSN Messenger 2) Patch it with polygamy 3) Rename the MSN Messenger directory to somethign el...

RE: Beta build 604 of Microsoft's MSN Messenger 7.
Re-read my post A. Madsen. Until Microsoft release it to the Beta testers, it is ILLEGAL for you to have it. ONLY when it is released to BetaPlace are you allowed to use it. Please, read my post carefully.
