RE: [Release] Message Enchanter 1.0.0480
Hey, sorry if this sounds like a trolling post but I think Message Enhancer sounds better (and makes more sense IMO) than Message Enchanter. Nice, effective script though.

RE: JScript too hard to use
JScript is almost exactly like Javascript, and I think every programmer should have experience using javascript. Once you learn "real" languages like javascript, php, c++, java, etc.. you will find BASIC very annoying.

RE: [Resolved] Talking to VB.
Also remember that when you make changes to your dll, and even unregister and re-register it, your script won't be able to use the new dll UNLESS: 1. you restart messenger or 2. save the dll with a different project name and use that when creating A...

RE: [Request] Display XFIRE Games
Alex I remember seeing a plugin for MP!3 that used the Xfire dll. But IIRC, the author needed permission from the xfire authors themselves.

RE: [UPDATE] Gmail Checker 1.11 - get alerts upon new emails in your gmail accounts
No, it means that once you are alerted about a certain email, it won't alert you about the same email again, kind of how the hotmail one works. Also it will tell you who you got the email from if you only received one.

RE: [REQ] Auto update lang file
Yeah, that would be good too. The ScriptInfo.xml file actually contains an attribute for "Version", but I can't find any place where it is used. Perhaps if Plus! would make this attribute mandatory, and export it as a registry key along side the ...

RE: [REQ] Auto update lang file
It would be better if the registry was used. Since all of the scripts are already stored in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Patchou\Messenger Plus! Live\GlobalSettings\Scripts\. All you need is for each script to have a key with its own version num...

RE: Multi Language class for scripts (request)
Is there a way to include variables in XML. Perhaps if all the variables were defined during the start of the file, or even in a seperate file then somehow imported, it would make translations much easier.
cooldude_i06Scripting07-08-2006 at 12:33 AM
RE: [REQ] Auto update lang file
Yeah that would be a good, but to accomplish this you would need to find out the version number of each script installed, and AFAIK there is no way to do that.

Warning: admin@msghelp.net = scammer.
A person added me and offered me moderator status on these forums. His email address wasn't verified, so I knew it was a scam but I decided to play along. First he tried getting my password on the forums, then he tried to scam my paypal. Anyways wat...

RE: Multi Language class for scripts (request)
This would be easy enough for strings used in the jscript files, but what about the captions stored in interface xmls???

RE: [UPDATE] Gmail Checker 1.11 - get alerts upon new emails in your gmail accounts
Ok, its fixed now.

RE: [REQ] Auto update lang file
But wouldn't that be a waste for having a script that checks for updates for only one translation. If you decide to include the ability to check for multiple translations then you would need a centralized server to store all of them in.

RE: [Question] Enable/disable controls
Yes, I use this method as well and it does work on all controls.

RE: [REQ] Auto update lang file
Yeah, but where is the translation stored? Is there a translations database, or is it stored in the scripts database, or as an attachment in the forums, or on your own file server?

RE: [REQ] Auto update lang file
aren't translation files distributed with MP!L itself? Where would you be checking for updates?
