RE: Google Chrome Issue
Is this 'Remember Me' a password-saving feature, or just something on those websites?

RE: Looking for a trial registry cleaner!!!
I've never seen it do that, but it has damaged my HHD Hex Editor installation before. Not the latest few versions though.

RE: "STOP: c000021a (Fatal System Error)" Error!
Sounds like the wireless driver is corrupt. Try installing a fresh copy from then maker's website in Safe Mode (obviously you'll need to download on another PC ;))

RE: X64 problems
You need to install the program as an Admin User most likely.

RE: Windows 7 and Firefox
The first two folders are for IE though... And why Firefox would be accessing 'My Recent Documents' I don't know. Personally, I'd recommend a quick run of CCleaner. And drop the 'My', I think.

RE: Are cookies considered malware?
Most cookies have similar contents and purposes, and all are harmless, though sites can use them maliciously. If you want to be sure, you can configure your web browser to accept cookies only from the originating domain i.e. visiting example.com won...

RE: MySQL vs Text Files
I'm pretty sure there are MySQL bindings for Python ;)

RE: Windows 7 and Firefox
That's more than enough for Firefox. Try disabling all your add-ons, and see if that improves the loading. If it does, turn on the add-ons one at a time, until the loading times drop off again. Then you'll have the culprit.

RE: Windows 7 and Firefox
3.5's been fine with me on a Win7 machine and an XP box. In both instances, it's as if someone's rammed a turbocharger on the browser engine.

RE: One month at least.. And my PSM,Nickname and Dp still won't update!
I have that issue sporadically, across Win7 and WinXP. I think it's the servers not updating properly (wouldn't be the first time either).

RE: Shouldn't there be a privacy policy in the contest window?
Could be the same hash Messenger uses to store settings on machines?

Ubuntu Server Edition's probably a good bet.

RE: Why does WLM run, sign on, then disappear/kills its process?
Try it with Plus! uninstalled, and if it works then, reinstall Plus!.

RE: [366] [365] Installer progress didn't show in taskbar
/me wonders if something changed between Beta and RC. I'll be installing 7RC this weekend, so I'll test it again then.

RE: [365] Win7 taskbar and tabs
Yeah, definately the latest. It might be because I'm still on the Beta of 7, not the RC.

RE: applications for Natal
I can see some medical institutions using Natal for physiotherapy, and of course research institutes could use it for biomechanics and sensory perception studies. As for Joe Sixpack, I think the only significant things will be home theatre and gaming...

RE: Firefox download manager
Is there an RC2? Anyway, you're probably better off with RC1 from MS themselves.

RE: Windows don't want me to print
If spooler's crashed, end spoolsv.exe in Task manager.

RE: Spam emails, FROM ME.... TO ME ? what?
Any decent spam filter nowadays doesn't bother with FROM and TO headers much, as they are so easy to spoof. They all tend to go on the content.

RE: Uncommitted new row cannot be deleted. C#
Alternatively, just call RejectChanges() (it's something like that anyway).

RE: Live Messenger font problem - very strange
Your contacts will only see the font you're using if it's installed on their machine. I also recommend you check the font is correctly installed on your machine(s) too. if it is, it'll show in Word(Pad) and others.

[366] [365] Installer progress didn't show in taskbar
Win7 Beta. Anyway, I didn't see the progress bar in the taskbar. I believe that's one of the changes in 365? My taskbar buttons are 'Always combine, hide labels'.

RE: [365] Win7 taskbar and tabs
I don't know if it's because I have Messenger 'pinned' to the taskbar, but I don't see any preview thumbnails from any tabbed chat. Is there something I'm missing?

RE: JScript.NET
One possible advantage of adding JScript.NET support: it would make using assemblies from scripts child's play. Also, with the extensive security framework in .NET, the permissions of assemblies can be very tightly controlled, if necessary.
